Robert O’Toole Ravenswood Pro-Am Invitation Golf Tournament

Robert O’Toole Ravenswood Pro-Am Invitation Golf Tournament

Friday the 31st of August.

We set off at 1.30pm From the Mobil Cannonvale then to Ayr for afternoon Tea at Dal Santos then fuel and to Ravenswood.

Be cautious traveling in to Ravenswood particularly after the Mingela turn off, as there are often cattle on the road.

Again we will be staying at the Railway Hotel so Call Rowan and book your bed.  The number of The Railway is 4770 2144, if for some reason they are booked out then Rowan will steer you in the right direction.

BBQ dinner in the Beer garden and we may even have a beer or two.

Saturday the 1st of September- GOLF DAY

As usual we will need to take over the galley and cook breakfast.  Then we will need to fluff around in complete indecision until we get frustrated and go and play golf at 10.30am... At the;

Ravenswood International Links Country Club Course.

(Designed by Severeyouramoff Ballasteros.)

There are plenty of bats and balls, there might even be a Beer Buggy. (You will need to buy your own drinks and ice to fill the esky on the Beer Buggy.)

We will need to get teams ready and Stinky will need to “TRY” and re-unite his team from last year so he can defend the silverware he took away last year.

We will then have Hot Dogs and some recovery Beer and waste away the afternoon.  Rowan has a 2 piece philharmonic Orchestra booked so Saturday night will be a:

Black Tie Gala Presentation Evening.

Sunday the 2nd

(People will start to dribble off home from today. If your one of these please skip to Mondays instructions.)

Same as Saturday with Breakfast. Then mooch around in a confused hang over haze, until we find the energy to ride to the Burdiken Dam and have a lazy afternoon and BBQ.

Monday the 3rd

Breakfast, settle your account and take your time and head home, (Beware the hang over haze, it could be lurking again.)

Dal Santos is a great idea for Lunch and a little shopping for some Fine European epicurean delicacies on the way home.

"THE ASHES TOUR TO RAVENSWOOD"
HIMC V RAILWAY HOTEL

As usual Rowan at the Railway has done it again. The XXXX beach cricket set is ready the pitch has been watered, mowed, flattened and groomed to perfection he has even done the Tony Greg key test and all is well for the

“Beer An Over, Ravenswood Street Cricket Series”

Channel 9 have no idea its on so media coverage will be poor but Richie Benoud is trying to free himself up to commentate.

Shane Warne has been texting to see if he can get a tart, I mean start.

Bindi has cancelled his world tour just to play at the awards presentation night, so all in all we are set.

This is always a great weekend away and it’s only a short ride/drive, so to all you sissy pikers that are scared of the rain, the wind, the sun, the flies, the distance, the corners, the straights or your bike. I could go on and on and on and on.

Enough with the excuses not to ride why not find an excuse TO RIDE

From Dal Santos it’s straight to Ravenswood via Woodstock. Lunch will be a sausage BBQ $10 per head

Monday 12th
February
Rockhampton to Airlie 480kms
Same as Friday just in reverse.

Many of our associates from the South East may want to catch up and join in the festivities and could meet us on Saturday and play on at Kilcoy and then ride all or some of the way to Rockhampton on Sunday

As there is a really boring section between Airlie Beach and Rockhampton, should anyone be interested in freighting their bike to and from, you could get a quote from a bike transporter; try Glen Gale 0407 988 007.

We should all get fuel at the same places as this eliminates unnecessary stops and has everyone needing fuel at the same time (Trevor excluded, his bike cant go past a servo.)

All distances are estimates and fuel stops are guesses at best.  Writen and authorised by the honourable G. Nocher, party headquarters- Hamilton Island.
